Delicious Pav Bhaji
Pav bhaji is one of the famous meal of Maharashtra, India. This is a dish that is loved by everyone who tries it once surely loves it without a doubt. It is an authentic dish prepared with a blend of spices and a lot of vegetables. It Is a delicious dish served with a butter toasted pav, mint or coriander chutney and chopped onions. It is a phenomenal dish which can easily be prepared at home. Home made version of Pav Bhaji is surely healthy as well as it tastes delicious also you have option to customize it according to your taste and preferences.
Pav Bhaji Recipe
Ingredients required for pav bhaji masala
You can easily find Pav Bhaji ready made masala at convince store. But is you are interested in preparing a home made masala then these are ingredients required
2 tbsp. coriander seeds
1/2 tbsp. dry mango powder
1 black cardamom
1tbsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp. fennel seeds
Red Chili according to your taste
1/2 inch cinnamon
Put all the ingredients in a pan and sauté for 2 minutes
Then let it cool and grind into powdered form
Ingredients required for preparation of Pav Bhaji
2 large potatoes
1 small Cauliflower
1cup green pees
2-3 carrot
3-4 Onion
4-5 tomatoes
2 bell pepper
2 green chili
1tbsp ginger garlic paste
Procedure to prepare Pav Bhaji
1-Use a pressure cooker
Put carrot, peas, potatoes, cauliflower
2-Put water in the pressure cooker that should be enough to cover vegetable partially
3-Put 1/3 tbsp. salt and let it cook till 2 whistles and a minute on medium flame.
4- open the pressure cooker and mash the vegetables using a masher
For masala gravy
5- put a tbsp. butter and a tbsp. oil in pan
6- put ginger garlic paste and let it cook until it turns light brown
7- put onions and bell peppers and sauté it well
8- put Tomatoes along with 1/2 teaspoon salt and cover the pan. Let the tomatoes cook for 5-10 min on medium low flame
9- Check the tomatoes if cooked properly then put them masala Along with green chilies chopped
10- put the mashed vegetables in the masala gravy. Mix it well and let it cook for another 10 minutes
11- Garnish now with chopped coriander
For serving
Toast Pav in butter and serve it with your well prepared home made Bhaji along with chopped onions
